Once again, i wasnt in the beta, but the skill system looks realy cool! It seems like they want you to take one gathering, one crafting, and one questing skill. Which gatherings are connected to which crafting? Are all of the gathering skills required for all of the crafting skills? and which questing skills are the best? Or is the game fairly balanced?

Anyway, it just seems like planning this now will stop us all from being the same, possilby wrong, thing

Artifice and Synthweaving seem fairly bad ass to me, though im not sure which gathering skill combines with them.

I will be doing Archeology, Artificing, and Treasure Hunting. So yeah lets get everyone figured out so we aren't double dipping too bad.

The crafting skill is really the only one that seems to ever matter for major double dipping. I'll probably do synthweaving as my crafting, archaeology and underworld trading.

Oh as a side note, I've talked to bob and he says he wants to make droids. So i assume that means he is going to take Cybertech, Scavenging, and Underworld Trading

More details to come once he stops having a life and can make it here himself!

Tim's right. Cybertech, Scavenging, and Underworld Trading here!
How did they ever come up with a Spy that becomes a Sniper who can learn Engineering? Who cares but it's cool as hell.

If I have to, I'll be potions bitch again :P I've been doing it for years, and at least in Star Wars I can make my companion go pick flowers for me...or whatever the space-going equivalent is.

Meh there are only 5 professions anyway. A little overlap wont kill anyone. We just need to force the people who arnt on the forum right now to be the things we dont wana be! :D

I was sold on Artifice after i read "that augment a Force user's combat attributes" I want to be the lightningest lightninger who ever lightninged!

Besides, this seems like the game where everyone will actualy want to lv 12 alts, so it will prolly all wash out in the end!

Shows the dependencies.

There are 2 crafting skills that benefit (DIRECTLY, there is always the chance that they might indirectly benefit others) force users
4 that benefit non-force users
1 universal,
and slicing is on its own benefiting non force users

we have 5-6 force users (so far it seems)
and 2-4 non force users so

As long as artifice and synthweaving are taken, which people have already claimed, then we are fine on the force user front. It would be nice if one of the force users took Biochem, bioalaysis, diplomacy considering we have few non force users. Then the non force users could take Armor, arms, and cybertechs.

Of course as long as a few ults make it to max level, with the skills we lack, it wont matter, since the skills only make it cheaper, and easier to level.
